This is not really surprising to anyone in the technology field but to some it may come as a surprise that advertised speeds are no where close to actual speeds. The FCC report investigates ISP's speed verses advertised speeds and find out that consumers are only getting about half the advertised speed. So if you look at it from the report you are paying twice as much for half the speed. The FCC needs to regulate how the ISP's advertise their speed and make sure the consumers are getting what they are promised. That would make it much easier then explaining to everyone that you are only going to get half the speed that you paid for and deserve.
